Mahenge Spinel Heart Pendant
This pendant is more than a beautiful jewel — it is a piece of geological wonder, born in the only place on earth where it could exist: the Mahenge region of Tanzania.
The centrepiece is a natural heart-shaped spinel, enveloped in a delicate halo of sparkling diamonds. Its colour is a soft, feminine raspberry — tender, understated, and quietly rare.
The price shown is approximate. It depends on the current prices of precious metals and the gemstones sourced for you, and is always calculated individually for your commission.

The story
About this creation
MAHENGE SPINEL HEART PENDANT – A RARITY WITH MEANING
Mahenge spinels rank among the most coveted gemstones of our time. Mined in a single location, their supply diminishes dramatically with every passing year. Spinels bearing a pronounced, deeply saturated raspberry colour now command prices of tens of thousands of dollars per carat and have all but vanished from the market.
Because this particular stone carries a softer, powdery-pink tone, you may acquire a genuine Mahenge spinel at a far more accessible price — while holding in your hands a stone from one of the world's most iconic deposits.
Stones of this kind are growing ever harder to find. Large, luminous Mahenge spinels are nearly absent from the market today. Should you wish to commission an identical pendant, we will search for the perfect stone individually on your behalf — with the utmost attention to colour, size, and overall harmony.
This particular piece is one of a kind — and there is no certainty that another like it will ever be found.

Living with your jewel
Caring for your jewellery
Caring for jewellery matters more than most people expect. Your creation sparkles newly after a gentle cleansing: most gemstones, and diamonds especially, respond beautifully to a wash in mild soapy water. But not every gem. An emerald, for example, must never be washed this way; its natural character asks for a different, gentler care. Please always ask us how to care for your jewellery, and especially for your gemstone. We will gladly show you.
Gold is a soft metal, and it deserves to be worn thoughtfully: removed for sport and heavy work, kept away from chemicals, stored in its box. And once every couple of years, we recommend bringing your jewel to a jeweller so the prongs can be checked for wear; a five-minute inspection protects a stone for a lifetime.
