Rare Natural Gemstones

A working selection of the natural coloured gemstones currently in our Prague stock, hand-selected by our GIA-certified specialist for colour, character and origin. Most of our sourcing, however, happens after we meet you: we search the world for the exact stone your project deserves.

Understanding gemstone quality

High Jewellery gemstones vs. mass-market calibrated stones

Most jewellery on the market is set with calibrated gemstones, mass-produced to standard sizes (a "6mm round", an "8x6 oval") so factories can set them into identical, repeatable mountings at scale. They are chosen for uniformity and low cost, not character, and are very often low-quality stones that have been heavily treated: fracture-filled with resin or glass, dyed or artificially coloured, or heat- and diffusion-treated to fake a colour nature never gave them. A High Jewellery gemstone is the opposite: a unique, often unrepeatable stone selected first for its colour, brilliance, clarity and provenance, the design is then built around it, never the other way round.

Chosen for character, not size

A High Jewellery stone is judged on its own colour, cut and life, never forced into a standard calibrated dimension.

Verified, not assumed

Origin, treatment and quality are independently assessed by our GIA-certified specialist, not taken on a supplier's word.

Rare by nature

Exceptional colour and clarity in nature are genuinely uncommon, a fine natural stone cannot be reordered once it is gone.

Fairly priced

Because we buy direct from origin and the world's leading cutting houses, you pay for the stone's true quality, not layers of intermediaries.

Frequently asked

What's the difference between these stones and calibrated gemstones?

Calibrated stones are mass-produced to standard sizes for factory-made jewellery. Every stone here is a unique natural gemstone, chosen individually for its colour, cut and character, no two are alike.

Is this catalogue everything you have access to?

No, it's our current Prague stock. Most commissions involve us sourcing specifically for you, direct from origin and from cutting houses in Bangkok and all over the world, through our global supplier network.

Can I request a stone that isn't shown here?

Yes, and this is in fact how most projects begin. Tell us what you're looking for and we will search on your behalf.

Do the stones come with certification?

Yes. Natural gemstones are accompanied by the appropriate gemmological documentation confirming origin and treatment where relevant.

Can you set a stone into a finished piece for me?

Absolutely, every gemstone here can become the heart of a bespoke creation, designed and handcrafted around it.
