The story
About this creation
Gold Ring with Emerald and Natural Diamonds — the Power of Nature, History, and Timeless Elegance
This exceptional white gold ring is set with a natural emerald measuring 9.5 × 6.5 × 4.4 mm, nestled in a classic prong (claw) crown setting that allows maximum light passage and reveals its deep, vivid green hue. The emerald is complemented by a delicate diamond line along half the band, lending the jewel brilliance, balance, and a noble contrast.
The green of the emerald has soothed the mind and stirred the human imagination for millennia. Even in antiquity, the emerald was regarded as a stone of exceptional power. Its name derives from the Greek word smaragdus, meaning "green", and the Roman scholar Pliny the Elder wrote of it in his Naturalis Historia the celebrated line: "nothing is greener than the emerald." According to him, jewellers would gaze upon emeralds to rest their eyes and relieve fatigue — and to this day it is known that the colour green exerts a calming and harmonising effect.
The history of the emerald is closely intertwined with power and royal dignity. The earliest known emerald mines originate in Egypt and were in use as far back as 330 BC. The legendary Cleopatra so adored emeralds that she adorned her royal regalia with them. In time, emeralds from the region of present-day Colombia made their way to Europe and Asia, where they captivated monarchs with their exceptional beauty and rarity.
The emerald is the most celebrated member of the beryl family and for centuries has been attributed with extraordinary qualities — said to foster clarity of mind, wisdom, and inner balance. Its colour evokes the growth of spring and new beginnings, which is why the emerald is also the birthstone of May and a symbol of renewal, life, and hope. It is no coincidence that it became the gemstone of the 20th and 35th wedding anniversaries.
From an investment perspective, fine natural emeralds rank among the most sought-after coloured gemstones in the world. Their availability is limited, mining is demanding, and quality stones are rare. It is precisely this combination that renders the emerald a long-prized natural treasure. The natural diamonds on the band further enhance the value of the ring — diamonds are a symbol of permanence, strength, and stability, and their investment significance has been proven over centuries.
The wearer of this ring acquires not merely a jewel, but a symbol of serenity, intelligence, and inner equilibrium. The emerald carries a deep, quiet luxury — it is not ostentatious, yet it speaks with quiet strength and confidence. This ring bestows a sense of distinction, elegance, and connection with both history and nature. It is a jewel with the potential to become a personal talisman and a family heirloom, passed from generation to generation.

Living with your jewel
Caring for your jewellery
Caring for jewellery matters more than most people expect. Your creation sparkles newly after a gentle cleansing: most gemstones, and diamonds especially, respond beautifully to a wash in mild soapy water. But not every gem. An emerald, for example, must never be washed this way; its natural character asks for a different, gentler care. Please always ask us how to care for your jewellery, and especially for your gemstone. We will gladly show you.
Gold is a soft metal, and it deserves to be worn thoughtfully: removed for sport and heavy work, kept away from chemicals, stored in its box. And once every couple of years, we recommend bringing your jewel to a jeweller so the prongs can be checked for wear; a five-minute inspection protects a stone for a lifetime.
