Green Garnet
Product ID: 1012
The deep, captivating hue of these gemstones commands attention at once. Before you is a natural tsavorite garnet in its most coveted and exalted emerald green shade (Emerald green), regarded for centuries as the very standard of luxury and a hallmark of true aristocracy. The vivid, profound tone of this gemstone conceals a rare magnetism and reveals the singular character of a natural stone.
The "Pear cut" masterfully accentuates the inherent beauty of the tsavorite. It lends the stones a sophisticated teardrop silhouette that visually softens the lines and introduces graceful dynamism to the entire composition. Every facet is cut with precision to reveal, to the fullest extent, the inner radiance and noble depth of colour.
The specifications of these garnets are perfectly balanced for the creation of exquisite jewellery. A dimension of 6x4 mm makes them an outstanding choice for classic earrings, an elegant ring, or a delicate pendant. The story
About this creation
The lush green of tsavorite has captivated the human imagination since time immemorial, bringing serenity to the human soul. This gemstone owes its distinguished name to the place of its discovery — Tsavo National Park in Kenya, which lies in the shadow of the majestic Kilimanjaro. As the rarest and most precious member of the noble garnet family, tsavorite is rightly regarded as the absolute benchmark among modern coloured gemstones. Its singular hue is associated with the verdant renewal of spring, the triumph of life, and primordial purity. The natural magic of this stone lies in its ability to unite majestic luxury with a soft, profound harmony that transcends the fleeting currents of fashion.
A modern legend discovered in the wilderness
The history of tsavorite is young, yet all the more captivating for it. It is inextricably bound to intrepid explorers and the untamed African wilderness, which left an indelible mark on modern world culture. This gemstone was revealed to the world only in the second half of the 20th century, by British geologist Campbell Bridges. When tsavorite was officially introduced to the public in 1974, the then-president of the celebrated jewellery house Tiffany & Co. declared it to be "the most beautiful green gemstone discovered in the last 2,000 years." Unlike other stones, tsavorite is mined in only one place on earth — in the immediate vicinity of the border between Kenya and Tanzania. Owing to the extraordinarily demanding conditions of mining deep in the bush and to strictly limited reserves, it swiftly became an emblem of exclusivity.
A clarity and brilliance that take the breath away
The garnet family is attended by a wealth of remarkable beliefs and mystical legends that underscore its sacred standing. Even in antiquity, people believed that garnets were petrified drops of the earth's blood, bestowing upon their wearer vital energy, courage, and a keen mind. Tsavorite, however, elevates this tradition to an entirely new dimension. Unlike traditional emeralds, which almost invariably carry a network of internal fractures — known as inclusions — tsavorite is distinguished by exceptional clarity, a high refractive index, and breathtaking brilliance.
As the great contemporary masters of the jeweller's art would say: tsavorite requires neither artificial enhancement nor heat treatment — its rich, radiant green is one hundred per cent the pure and unadulterated work of nature itself. Throughout its modern history, tsavorite has thus remained not merely an adornment, but a living symbol of modern luxury — one that perfectly unites the wild power of Africa with absolute jewellery magnificence.

Living with your jewel
Caring for your jewellery
Caring for jewellery matters more than most people expect. Your creation sparkles newly after a gentle cleansing: most gemstones, and diamonds especially, respond beautifully to a wash in mild soapy water. But not every gem. An emerald, for example, must never be washed this way; its natural character asks for a different, gentler care. Please always ask us how to care for your jewellery, and especially for your gemstone. We will gladly show you.
Gold is a soft metal, and it deserves to be worn thoughtfully: removed for sport and heavy work, kept away from chemicals, stored in its box. And once every couple of years, we recommend bringing your jewel to a jeweller so the prongs can be checked for wear; a five-minute inspection protects a stone for a lifetime.
